Bolton’s town centre is going through a metamorphosis, as major new leisure, retail, commercial and infrastructure developments are completed. AMION Consulting has been working with Bolton Council over a number of years to create a sustainable future for the magnificent Grade II* listed town hall which sits at the heart of the town and includes a range of cultural, community and other civic uses such as performance spaces, venue hire, catering and council functions. The team was appointed initially as part of a multi-disciplinary team to carry out an options appraisal and feasibility study which would ensure greater use of the building, improve its financial viability and allow it to play a bigger role in the town’s future. Subsequent studies included detailed business planning, a governance review and implementation plans.
