Kelan O’Kane

Kelan joined AMION in 2024 following his graduation from Queen’s University Belfast with a First Class degree in Economics, and is a member of the Royal Economics Society.  Kelan has a strong understanding of the HMT Green Book and Welsh Government Better Business Cases, as well as the MHCLG Appraisal Guide. He is a qualified PRINCE2 Practitioner and has Better Business Cases training to the foundational level.

During his university studies, Kelan specialised in economic development and public policy, in addition to the measurement of unmonetisable benefits, and how to use these methods to shape future projects.  This interest informed his decision to base his academic modules around these interests, including evaluating the economic and social benefit measurement methods of conducting large public sector interventions, in addition to his work on the effect of government policy on economic growth.
