Director

Jonathan is a Director in the Strategy, Policy and Innovation team, with over 15 years’ consultancy experience spanning economic analysis, policy, and strategic planning projects. He has managed assignments for a wide range of public and private sector organisations, including government departments, local and combined authorities, universities, colleges, and private companies. His work covers all aspects of economic development, with a focus on inclusion, innovation, skills and employment, regeneration, and place-based growth.

Before joining AMION, Jonathan worked at the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority, where he led the Policy Team on a range of major policy, research, and analytical projects. He also spent several years at a major international multidisciplinary consultancy, contributing to major UK infrastructure and regeneration projects.

At AMION, Jonathan has managed a number of high-profile commissions, including the Get East Midlands Working Plan, the Economic Impact of the University of Liverpool, and the Evaluation of Historic England’s High Street Action Zones. He is passionate about the role of communities in project delivery and has led several innovative initiatives where resident voice and community ownership are central to success.

Jonathan holds an MA in Local and Regional Development from Newcastle University and is a Member of the Institute of Economic Development.
