Prof. Daniel Johnson

Daniel Johnson is a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Transport Studies, University of Leeds, specialising in transport economics, econometrics and the wider economic impacts of transport investment. His research focuses on public transport, freight and passenger demand modelling, wider economic impacts and the application of stated preference methods.
Daniel has extensive experience delivering research for government and European programmes, including work for the Department for Transport on regional productivity, bus provision and freight modelling. His research has also examined the economic impacts of rail investment, passenger demand forecasting and the integration of smart technologies within transport systems. He is Director of Postgraduate Research at the Institute for Transport Studies and contributes to teaching on public transport and transport infrastructure and economic performance.
