We are pleased to report that AMION has been appointed by Homes England to lead a multidisciplinary team updating the Strategic Impacts Model, including national employment density guidance.
These benchmarks play an important role in planning, regeneration and investment decisions across the country, helping shape how employment land and premises are assessed, planned and delivered. Ensuring the guidance reflects today’s economy, workplaces and ways of working is therefore an important task.
Over the coming months, we’ll be engaging with stakeholders from across the public and private sectors. The guidance is widely used, and we want the refreshed evidence base to benefit from the broadest possible range of experience and perspectives.
For AMION Director Simon Dancer, this is something of a Groundhog Day moment. Simon helped initiate the original employment densities guidance in 2001, so having the opportunity to revisit and refresh it almost 25 years later is both rewarding and slightly surreal. It may also go some way towards explaining the grey hair.
