The first towns selected to receive support from the government’s £3.6 billon Towns Fund have been announced with funding allocated for improvements including a revamp of Blackpool’s illuminations.
AMION Consulting helped Blackpool Council prepare their submission to government, helping it become the first award announced nationally with allocated funding of £39.5 million.
The bid included for a major overhaul of the town’s famous illuminations, funding to relocate Blackpool’s courthouse from a prime central location to make way for a new tourism and leisure development and support for the further development of the Blackpool Airport Enterprise Zone.
