At AMION we recognise the urgent need to address the global climate crisis and take responsibility for our environmental impact. As such, we are currently undertaking a transformative process to achieve Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions and to minimise our ecological footprint in all aspects of our operations. In 2023, we took a step forward by starting to measure our carbon emissions, and to set carbon reduction targets.
We are committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2040 and to achieve this, we will be aiming to reduce our emissions by 90% from our baseline year and offset any residual emissions.
To keep us on track with our long-term target, we have also set some near-term targets to 2030:
– Maintain zero Scope 1 & 2 emissions; and
– Reduce our Scope 3 carbon intensity by 50% from our baseline year by 2030.
In our baseline year (2023), our total emissions (all Scope 3) were 134.1 tonnes CO2e. At the end of 2024, we had reduced our total emissions by 25% to 108.7 tonnes CO2e.
