Ian Piper CBE

Ian Piper CBE is an experienced housing, regeneration and development professional with 40 years of experience across the public and private sectors. His expertise spans housing delivery, regeneration, sustainable communities, land development and major investment programmes. He served as Chief Executive of Ebbsfleet Development Corporation from 2017 to 2026, overseeing a £300 million investment programme and the delivery of the Ebbsfleet Garden City.

Ian is currently Chair of the Interim Growth Board for Marlcombe New Town, a Non-Executive Board Member of This Land Ltd and an Expert Advisor to the Government’s New Towns Programme. His wider career includes senior roles at the Homes and Communities Agency, Forward Swindon and the South West Regional Development Agency, alongside extensive non-executive and board experience.
