AMION has extensive and wide-ranging experience in providing
high quality advice with regard to project development and business
planning. In the context of regeneration we specialise in
particular in financial planning and securing financial support.
The practice is unique in the regeneration field in that its
Business Planning service is led by Chartered Accountants with
extensive experience in both public and private sector investment
environments. |
Examples of our work include:
- Business plans for major regeneration
developments
AMION has extensive experience in working with partners in the development of business plans for major regeneration projects including organisational planning, financial planning, funding and risk assessment. We believe that a business plan should drive a project and that a robust business plan that has been developed with its partners is essential for any successful project. - Other business plans
Our team has developed business plans and corporate plans for a wide range of projects and programmes other than physical development projects such as business plans to underpin regional business support services, business plans in relation to training programmes and corporate and business plans for major national regeneration organisations. AMION's national business planning experience is extensive and is based upon in-depth financial analysis and an understanding of key risks and organisational objectives. - Project development
AMION has a strong track record in advising on all aspects of project development including appropriate management teams, presenting options for phasing of developments, procurement processes and the provision of basic state aid advice and/or the use of legal specialists for complex projects. We routinely work with a range of other advisers including cost consultants, designers and developers to provide a holistic approach to project development. - New regeneration vehicles
We regularly advise clients on appropriate structures for regeneration delivery and on the implementation of new vehicles. We work with partners to agree the overall aims of objectives, design appropriate and effective structures, develop funding and organisational plans and appropriate intervention practices. - Funding - public and private
Project funding is critical to any project and we work with a range of clients to understand the financial requirements of each project and to identify potential sources of funding. This includes working with clients to secure public sector funding from national, regional and local sources. We understand the project appraisal processes that underpin funding applications and are experienced in presenting complex and detailed financial and business planning information to a range of audiences. In addition, we have extensive experience in presenting cases for significant projects to the government's Central Projects Review Group (CPRG) and HM Treasury. Regional Growth Fund is a particular feature of our current advice services. We are also able to offer advice in the next round of the Regional Growth Fund (Round 3).
We have also prepared robust business plans as a basis to secure private sector funding in addition to publicly sourced funding. Investors often require independent due diligence and business plans need to be prepared with this in mind. - Research and analysis
Our team regularly undertakes a range of research and analysis to underpin our business planning and project development work. Our research is rigorous and comprehensive and is used to underpin core assumptions and components of our business planning work. - Economic impact and evaluation and their integration
with business planning
The business planning team works extensively with AMION's economics team to provide thorough and robust economic impact assessment to further support projects based on the business plan and evaluation work. The AMION team works together to deliver a seamless service to our clients on all aspects of a project, from conception through to implementation and subsequent project evaluation.
