AMION Consulting currently has 20 staff including associates.  Our team is multi-disciplinary and includes specialists with a wealth of experience in consultancy and with diverse work backgrounds.

Partners and Directors

Tim Johnston Tim Johnston - Partner Director
Tim is a graduate economist and a Chartered Accountant. He leads AMION's Business Planning team, focusing on financial and business planning advisory services. Prior to establishing AMION, Tim was the Partner leading KPMG's national regeneration team and has a national reputation in advising on regeneration related joint ventures. He is a non-executive Director of Langtree Group plc, a growing commercial property developer. He is also a Board member of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and Chairs its Capital Development Sub-Committee. In addition, he is on the Board of the North West JESSICA Fund.
Graham Russell Graham Russell - Partner Director
Graham is a qualified economist and leads AMION's Economic and Evaluation services.  Graham specialises in economic analyses, economic impact assessments, feasibility and funding project appraisals and policy evaluation and development. He has substantial experience in professional advisory services and has contributed to official Government economic guidance, and has also led various major national research studies and evaluations. Graham has provided national expert advice to government on regions, cities and neighbourhoods.
Carmel Booth Carmel Booth - Partner director
Carmel is a Chartered Accountant with considerable consulting experience of working with the private and public sector including major developers, central and local government, public private partnerships, NDPBs, social enterprise, charities and other private sector clients.  Building upon commercial consulting and transaction services experience at KPMG and Deloitte, Carmel specialises in providing a range of financial, strategy and efficiency advice including financial advice on major infrastructure projects, project funding and business planning, business transformation programmes, organisation change programmes and developing partnerships between the private and public sector.  Carmel is a Trustee of National Museums Liverpool and its trading activities and Chairs its Finance Committee.
Pete Stowe Peter Stowe
Peter is Director of AMION's Social Inclusion and Employment team. He has a degree in economics and geography and is a qualified Town Planner.  Peter has significant experience at a senior level across a broad range of strategic, organisational, financial and programme management and review issues. His specific areas of expertise include competitiveness, employment / training support and broader social inclusion and area renewal issues. Prior to joining AMION, Peter was Head of Economic Development at Liverpool City Council.
Alan Friday
Alan Friday
Alan has a background in economic and social planning and holds a diploma in business administration. He has extensive experience in urban regeneration and economic development gained in both the private and public sectors.  Director of the Economics team at AMION Consulting, Alan specialises in economic appraisal, business planning, and policy and information studies. He has particular knowledge and understanding of European and UK funding regimes and has provided grant-funding advice to a wide range of public and private sector clients.
